We left early Sunday morning and headed out on calm waters. We had great weather and calm seas all day! It was fun to see familiar towns along the distant shore, from Sandusky to Cleveland. The waters were so calm that the captain invited the best mate to take a nap down below. Of course she accepted the invitation! We arrived at Geneva on the Lake around 1:30 pm. It was hot as we set off for a walk to the state park lodge and then into town. Really hot! We enjoyed a cold drink at Eddie's Grill, a classic 50s style diner that is still owned by Eddie who is 93 years old! We headed to one of our favorite spots (we've been here before by car), Piero's Pasta House, for an authentic delicious Italian dinner. After dinner, we walked back to the boat. The best mate spent some time organizing the boat. Then it was time for bed!

On Tuesday, our friends from home, Jeff and Lisa, drove up to rescue us from a rainy day on the boat! We visited wineries, ate at Alesandro's, another Italian restaurant in town, and explored Astabula before they left the next day. We had so much fun!

We finished up our time in Geneva washing the boat (it was SO dirty from all of the mayflies) and doing laundry. It was a great stay, and we were ready to move on!
