We arrived into Chicago in the middle afternoon along with Pam and Vince. It was perfect timing to meet back up with Mary and Gary and set off to find some Chinese food for dinner. We didn't have to travel all the way to Chinatown! It was delicious! Then we walked to Navy Pier for ice cream. Gary treated everyone to a pedicab ride back to the boat in a lit-up-music-blaring bicycle turned into a carriage ride with a battery powered motor.

The next day, Tony and I headed out early for church amid preparations for the Chicago marathon right outside our boat along the riverfront park. We worshiped in the Chicago Temple, a United Methodist church in the heart of the city in a skyscraper. We toured the church after worship. Then we walked to breakfast at Lou Michelle's, a Route 66 diner. Then we took the bus and the redline to the White Sox baseball game. After that it was the redline back to downtown to meet Pam, Vince and Gary at Lou Malnati's for Chicago deep dish pizza. We took the riverwalk back to the boat.

On Monday, we set off on a walk to the new 4-story Starbucks on Michigan Avenue. Then Sojourn surprised us with a trip to the city and met us at Wrigley Field for a tour and then a Chicago dog at Murray's across from the outfield. Then we all went to the Art Institute of Chicago and then wandered around that area taking in the Bean and the Buckingham Fountain. We ended the day at Cindy's Rooftop bar nearby with a view of the harbor.
