After meandering through the mangroves, we arrived at John Pennekamp State Park in the afternoon. As we approached our assigned slip, with some assistance from other boaters, we attempted to stern in and then bow in and still found no way to be able to get off the boat in that slip. We negotiated a different slip and settled in, noticing a few other boaters and loopers that we'd met previously, Sheila and David from Bahia Honda and Bill and Pat from Uno Mas who we'd met at Green Turtle Bay on the rivers. We went to dinner with Bill and Pat and their buddy boat friends Patty and Tracy at the Fish House.

The next day, we walked through the woods to the shower house at the camp ground and then promptly headed out for the day, with a destination set for south Miami.
