We followed Volare to Thessalon from Blind River to Thessalon. As soon as we left the marina at Blind River we spied a waterspout in the distance. I did some research and discovered that it was likely a fair weather waterspout as opposed to a tornadic waterspout. We watched it dissipate and then reform as we cruised west. We made the short run to Thessalon with time for rinsing down the boat and relaxing some and catching up with phone calls to friends before dock tales with Volare. We were joined for dinner by the crew from What's Next, Lynn and Rob, on a beautiful Sabre from Luddington, MI and Macon, Georgia. We walked to the only open restaurant in town and were sorely disappointed by the service and the cleanliness of the restaurant. We'd hoped to go to Sunset Beach Restaurant, but it was closed. We enjoyed being together and sharing cruising stories but left after 2+ hours with not everyone being served their ordered food. Thankfully everyone was able to laugh about the whole thing and left in good spirits. We were in bed by 9:30 and preparing for an early departure in the morning. The sunrise the next morning was lovely!
