We made the 2nd leg of the crossing with Nancy and Jim on Our Nauti Time early in the morning on the 30th. Waves were forecasted to be less than 1 foot with a NNW 2mph wind. It was 38 degrees as we departed. The sun was shining bright and the seas were even calmer than the previous day. It was a perfect day for crossing, except for all of the crab pots that needed to be dodged during the trip. Red. Orange. Green. Blue. Silver. Black. Hard to see crab pots strung out along the water, usually in patterns and lines. Except when they aren't. We did see a few dolphins in the distance as we traversed the Gulf on this second day.

While in Crystal River, Karen had a dream come true of swimming with manatees! Tony road along and helped with documenting the adventure. We also met Gordon and Phil Rose for dinner to catch up on all things Blanchester. We also enjoyed getting to know Jim and Nancy better and made plans to travel with them the next day.
