We had a slight rain delay this morning in Madison, Indiana. It gave us time to do a few things in the cabin before getting underway. We left about 9:20. Along the route to Louisville, we noticed that the leaves are only just beginning to change into their autumn colors. We'll keep an eye out for more color as we continue to move south over the next few weeks. We just meandered along slowly, not in a rush with just slightly more than 40 miles to cover to get to Louisville. We were alone out on the river for about an hour. Then we saw our first barge of the day and then mostly recreation vessels after that. The further west and south we went, the clearer the skies. We arrived in Louisville around 1:30 in the afternoon to 72 degrees and sunny. It was a beautiful afternoon for a walk across the old railroad bridge, now a pedestrian bridge on our way to a late lunch/early dinner at King Fish in Jeffersonville in the historic Rose Hill neighborhood. We spotted another Ranger Tug in the marina where we're staying! When we returned to the boat, Karen enjoyed time reading in the sun in the "queen's chair," and Tony enjoyed watching some of the Ryder Cup using our HD antenna, best $15 we ever spent! We'll stay here in Louisville tonight and again tomorrow night.

Our second day in Louisville (Sunday), we headed to the Louisville Bats baseball game. Tony scored free tickets from a random stranger with extra tickets AND it was fan appreciation day where several concession items were only $1. Tony was in heaven! It was a beautiful sunny day, a perfect day for a walk and baseball! When we returned to the marina, we met another AGLCA member with a Ranger Tug. We toured each other's boats and shared stories. And then back to our own boat for some dinner and time relaxing on the bow of the boat and off to bed! We're moving on tomorrow!
