Wow! What a Day! That's the name of one of the boats that we cruised with today. The other boats were Uno Mas (One More) and Sole Mate. Sole Mate and What a Day are nearing the end of their loop. And Uno Mas is just starting out like us. We all left from Clifton Marina early this morning and all of us ended up on the other side of Pickwick Lock and Dam. The current was running against us the whole way. You could really see why as we approached the lock/dam...the water was rushing over the dam as they were releasing water into the other side. The four of us cruised all day together, one behind the other. The eagles did not disappoint again today. We're looking forward to a few days here with friends from home, Keith and Margaret Mattison.

This was our first visit on the loop from friends at home! So much fun! Keith and Margaret stayed at the campground of Pickwick State Park and we met up during the day to play golf, take turns riding in the back of the pick up truck, have a cookout, visit a Civil War national park at the Shiloh battlefields, and take a boat ride on the Tennessee River. So much fun!

Before leaving Pickwick, we met Loopers Gus and Ruthie at the marina. As Tony talked to them, he learned that Gus is a graduate of Wilmington College! The two Quakers had lots to talk about! Their boat is called Worthy and is a Duffy Down Easter. They hail from Michigan.
