The trip up the river from Pebble Isle to Clifton did not disappoint! We were up early after a wet night of rain to get a jump on the weather. With the prediction of better weather in the morning. We did go through some short rain showers but found sunny skies on the other side of each one. The landscape shifted from forests with rocky cliffs to beautiful homes built and being built along the river. Some campers set up to enjoy the views as well. We came across a dredger moving along the river at a slow pace. Several barges that called out to us before we had a chance to call out to them, letting us know to pass on the 1 (right) or pass on the 2 (left) as they came around the bend. We went under several bridges today too, old railroad bridges and interstates with lots of FedEx trucks passing overhead. Captain Tony called the most picturesque day of the trip so far! Once we got settled in our marina slip, we head out on a walk up to town and then back to the marina restaurant to meet up with other loopers staying here at the marina for the night.
