After 4 nights at Green Turtle Bay, we were up early to make our way to our next stop, Pebble Isle Marina. Right away we realized that we needed to head back, that the repair to our digital display on the Yamaha motor had not been taken care of. After just a 2 hour delay back at the marina boat yard, we were on our way. We traveled through the Barkley Canal and then onto Kentucky Lake. It wasn't always easy to discern the color of the channel markers (green or red) is the bright morning sun. And there were LOTS of markers out there! Before 11am, we turned onto the Tennessee River and had crossed the Kentucky/Tennessee state line. We crossed over 600 miles on the trip today too! Along the way, we saw several eagles, one flying close to our boat with a fish gripped firmly in his talons. Just before pulling into the marina, we saw lightening in the distance. We're here now in our slip for the night. It's raining and likely will be all evening and overnight. We're hanging out in a pavilion area with a few other transient boaters waiting for the courtesy van to return so that we can head to a Mexican restaurant for dinner. We'll have to wait and see what the weather does tomorrow to help us figure out our plans for the morning. It felt good to be on the move again!
