On our way from Cannelton, Indiana to Evansville, Indiana, we went through 2 locks, saw several blue heron, spied a flock of turkey, peeked through the binoculars at a young eagle perched in a tree, and spotted several monarch butterflies flittering in the September sun. We continued our buddy boating adventure with Township (Towns, David, and their dog Rugby). While Tony ran the boat, Karen did some organizing and cleaning around the boat. She also did some reading, prepared another great lunch while underway, and got a short nap in after docking at the marina just beyond Evansville. We then took a walk and explored the boats on the dock in the marina. A glass of wine and snacks for dinner and off to bed for an early day tomorrow as we continue closer and closer to the end of our Ohio River journey and get ready to start our journey down the Cumberland River.
