We arrived at Fayette State Park late afternoon, due to a side trip to Escanaba to get gas. We set out right away to explore the abandoned buildings in the old deserted town. Mary and Pam and Vince had participated in a guided tour earlier in the day and share information with us about each building and early life in the village. That night we had a potluck on the back of Volare with Pam and Vince. We grilled sausages and reheated fish on our grill. After dinner, we walked to view the sunset and then went to RAMBLR for s'mores and port wine. We all went to look at the night sky in hopes of seeing the northern lights again. Instead we saw beautiful stars and some planets.

The next morning, we headed to the beach to look for rocks before heading out in the morning. It was such a special place! Overnight we had the whole park to ourselves, it was quiet and absolutely beautiful! A must stop for any loopers crossing from Michigan to Wisconsin!
