We arrived in Beaufort around noon and were able to get out and explore right away. We enjoyed a late lunch at Plums right downtown. Karen had a great shrimp role sandwich. It didn't take us long to find the ice cream shops! We continued to stroll the streets of town while reading about the historic buildings online. We stumbled into the Chocolate Tree shop and then headed back to the boat. That night, there was a big storm with lots of lightening and big winds and waves. The next day, the storm was over and we enjoyed more walking around the town and surrounding neighborhoods. We took in the Reconstruction National Museum and the exhibit across the street in the old Armory before meeting Vickie and Jack at Black Stone Restaurant. We returned to the boat for some rest and then had Jack and Vickie over for some Skyline chili on the boat to celebrate the first Reds game of the season.

The next morning we headed off to Charleston.
